The Losers, 2026

Premiums II -  Group interim show at the Royal Academy of Arts, Weston Studio.

 

Seven wooden sculptures assembled from dismantled furniture, fragments of earlier works, and old clothes.

They form an unsuccessful group, striving toward something they cannot quite achieve, failing and beginning again. They are somewhat sad and pathetic in their persistence, and their refusal to stop trying. Yet this same insistence carries a quiet hope, a stubborn belief that things could still be otherwise.
