Leaning on a String, 2025
An installation of old wooden furniture turned into birds. Although made of wood, they are fragile and requiring support. The wooden birds are held by working gloves filled with plaster and imaginary string. On the floor crawling arms or snakes, with the same working gloves which hold the birds, those hands are not strong enough to hold anything so they crawl. One glove behind the installation actually have a string holding it from the finger and disappearing into the air. In the same place where the glove is, stood my old heavy table after the plaster storm in the studio, the lightness of the small palm glove, the fragility of the whole installation- is only possible after the storm has gone.
